Glasgow Music Festival is an annual festival featuring over 7,000 amateur performers. Bands, orchestras, ensembles, choirs and soloists perform and are appraised by a team of professional adjudicators. This provides both an interesting and enjoyable experience for our audiences.
Events include bands nights on Sunday 14th andMonday 15th and a choral evening on Tues 16th.
Celebrate St Patrick with the Glasgow Irish Community

Following on from the success of last year's sell out concert, the Glasgow Irish Community present the very best of Irish culture in this entertaining and talented show.
Featuring the Freil Sisters, 'Not Stavros Flately', the Irish Minstrels C.C.E. including three All Ireland Champions, Caroline Greene Dancers, St James' C.C.E., Mclaughlins, a new dance drama, a Gaelic sketch and Anarkali, the up and coming young band on the Irish-Scottish traditional scene. The evening will closes with a sing-song led by Michael Sweeney and his group The Parting Glass.

Global Village
Food, Music and Dance from around the world at Glasgow University Rag Week

Global Village celebrates the international cultural heritage of our University and City through Food, Music and Dance, with contributions from the Glasgow University students themselves. Now in its fourth year, this is the University's largest charity fundraising event. Performers include:
- Brazilian Capoeira
- Sword-fighting
- Jazz
- Burlesque and Bollywood dancing
- plus a lot more!
The entertainment is followed by DJs playing a large selection of pop and world-music tunes for you to dance to until 2am!
This evening is all about bringing people together, and welcomes students and non-students alike. It raises money for various charities (last year's event raised £2,500)

He will also look at how your thoughts and emotions impact on the circumstances of your life and teach you some powerful tools to try and consciously create the things you want in your life. David will also teach the powerful healing visualisation 'Quantum Field Healing'.
With a Phd in Organic Chemistry, Dr. David Hamilton is a motivational speaker and bestselling author who travels throughout the world giving workshops to help people understand the power of the mind on the body. This workshop will involve elements from all David's books: It's The Thought That Counts, Destiny Vs Free Will, How Your Mind Can Heal Your Body and his latest book, launched in February, Why Kindness is Good for You.

The NCT (National Childbirth Trust)- Nearly New Sale

NCT members who bring their membership card will get in to the sale at 12.30pm early as a benefit to them.
To register to sell your goods please email for details. You get 65% and the charity gets 35%. Our last sale had around 400 people attend and so it can be a good way to recycle unused goods and get a few bargains too. Hope to see you there.
Charity Zip Slide
University of Glasgow Charity Event for the New Beatson Research Centre

Would you like to zoom across the River Clyde on a 150ft high wire for a good cause? Then you can take part in the second University of Glasgow Charity Zip Slide and raise funds for the Beatson Pebble Appeal! This appeal will raise funds for the new Beatson Translational Research Centre which is to be based in the University’s Garscube Estate and will convert basic cancer research into real improvements in treatments for patients – www.beatsonpebbleappeal.org
No experience is necessary for the Zip Slide as full instruction will be given on the day by ALPS Outdoor. Entry fee is £40.00. Anyone can take part who is over 16 years of age.
