Hedda at GFT
24 – 30 October, 2025
From writer/director Nia DaCosta comes a provocative, modern reimagining of Henrik Ibsen’s classic play. Hedda (Tessa Thompson) finds herself torn between the lingering ache of a past love and the quiet suffocation of her present life. Over the course of one charged night, long-repressed desires and hidden tensions erupt—pulling her and everyone around her into a spiral of manipulation, passion, and betrayal.
The screenings on Friday 24 October at 5.50pm and Tuesday 28 October at 8.10pm will be followed by a special recorded Q&A with writer-director Nia DaCosta and actors Tessa Thompson and Nina Hoss, moderated by film & TV critic Rhianna Dhillon, produced by Reclaim The Frame.
Reclaim The Frame is a charity that champions marginalised perspectives in cinema, connecting with audiences and communities through special screenings and events across the UK. Reclaim The Frame events create a space to discuss what’s under the surface of each story.
