Michael Pedersen is a prize-winning Scottish poet, author, scribbler, stitcher. He is currently Writer in Residence at The University of Edinburgh.

Kirsty Logan, Hillhead Library – 24 September

Kirsty Logan is a professional daydreamer. Her first story collection, The Rental Heart & Other Fairytales (Salt, 2014), won the Scott Prize, the Polari First Book Prize, and the Saboteur Award.

Andrew O’Hagan and Andrea Gibb – Sunday September 24

Andrew O’Hagan was born in Glasgow. He has been nominated for the Booker Prize, was voted one of Granta’s Best of Young British Novelists in 2003, and he won the E.M. Forster Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He is Editor-at-Large of the London Review of Books and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.

Andrea Gibb is an award winning Scottish screenwriter, working in film and television. Her adaptation of Andrew O’Hagan’s best selling novel ‘Mayflies’ was produced by Synchronicity Films in Glasgow and garnered a slew of 4 and 5 star reviews on transmission in December ’22. It was nominated for 4 RTS Scotland awards including best drama.

Claire Mundell, producer at Synchronicity Films, will be joining the discussion.

Coinneach MacLeod was born and raised on the Isle of Lewis, the most northerly of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Inspired by traditional family recipes and homegrown produce, Coinneach rose to fame as the Hebridean Baker in 2020.
