Charity Single Launch with Lynnie Carson
Saturday, October 17, 2015
7:30pm – 10:30pm
The Admiral Bar
72A Waterloo Street, Glasgow G27DA
‘Hello all you lovely people, I know it’s a while away but Jen & I are organising a charity night in conjunction with our next single launch on Saturday 17th October and we are desperate to get a good crowd along.
Jen visited Karunalayam children’s centre in Warangal, India a couple of summers ago and has supported the small charity since with her family.
The children there are either HIV positive or have been abandoned at the centre as their parents have died of aids. There are 92 children at the orphanage between the ages of 1-19yrs and 86 of the 92 children are HIV positive.
They get minimal state funding meaning they rely heavily on any donations given in order to feed, clothe, medicate and educate all the kids.
The Approximate cost is £15 per month per child.
We are releasing a Christmas single called ‘The last day at school’ to help raise funds for the charity & we would love you to be there at the launch night.’
There will be raffles, prizes and of course music!
Also playing will be The Brand New Heartaches (aka Gram Allan & Marky:bod)
Please spread the word and help make this a special wee night.
The Admiral does food in the bar upstairs so why not book a table and make a meal of it?
*anyone who wishes to donate a raffle prize please contact Lynnie
