French Film Festival, GFT, Glasgow, November – December, 2017

GFT is proud to be one of the founding venue partners of the French Film Festival UK, which this year celebrates its 25th silver jubilee edition. The line-up features some of the most eagerly anticipated Francophone titles of the year, including: Cannes 2017 hit Redoubtable by Michel Hazanavicius (The Artist), Laurent Cantet’s critically acclaimed The Workshop, plus topical drama This Is Our Land, followed by a Q&A with director Lucas Belvaux. Veteran director Régis Wargnier will attend a Q&A following a 25th anniversary screening of his Academy Award winning drama Indochine, and we celebrate French Film Festival patron Jeanne Moreau with a special Double Bill: The Fire Within/The Lovers on 35mm. The 2017 festival begins with a preview of Aurora, starring the inimitable Agnès Jaou, followed by a Q&A with director Blandine Lenoir. Bon festival!
