Handle a variety of real museum objects
Curious about the relationship between object handling and reminiscence, particularly for those living with dementia? If the answer is yes, join Glasgow Life’s Open Museum outreach team as part of West Fest’s Dementia Fest, where you’ll get the chance to handle a variety of real museum objects from two handling kits on the topics of Tenement Life and the 1950s, whether period-original garments, ceramics you would find in a tenement home, or a classic 50s rotary phone.
You’ll also be able to find out more about what the Open Museum do, as well as have a chat about the relationship between reminiscence and material culture.
