GYFF Opening Gala: Just Charlie, GFT, 22 September, 2017

Winner of the 2017 audience award at Edinburgh International Film Festival, GYFF 2017 is delighted to open with Rebekah Fortune’s debut feature film, Just Charlie. Charlie’s father lives vicariously through his football prodigy son until Charlie has to make a life changing decision that may tear the family apart. Just Charlie is the story of one child’s struggle for identity, and it tackles transgender issues head-on with insight and compassion.
