Word Festival 2024

The first ever Inverclyde Word Festival – Gourock Park and amphitheatre.
Larkfield Rd, Gourock PA19 1RJ
Organised by members of Inverclyde Shed’s creative writing group
The inaugural Inverclyde Words Festival in the Walled Garden, Gourock – loads of fun family activities including:
– Inverclyde Libraries Book Bug
– Fairy Trail Walks & Painting Fairy Doors / Figures
– Teddy Bears Picnic
– Daniella & Choir
– Creative Writing Session
– Author Reading Session
– Sign Language Fun Session
– Yvonne Lyon Singing Session
– Burns Club
– Music Broth
– Ardgowan Hospice Book Stall.
Alongside these activities #shedders will be showing off their new growing space with ‘tattle howking’, #woodcarving, #beekeeping, #ukulele playing and a range of #craft items on display.
The shed’s #creativewriting group will be showing off their anthology of short stories, poems and prose.
Ramblings Recipes will be there serving up some marvellously delicious snacks alongside a shed stall with a range of #pickles & #preserves made using produce from the garden. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy in the garden.
And, of course, the animals will be here to enjoy including goats, highland pony, donkey, ducks, hens, rabbits, guinea pigs and various birds.
