Did you know that some of Glasgow Museums’ finest ship models have their doors painted as if they are ajar – and some even have detailing of furniture, carpets and curtains inside their saloons and cabins?
Ship models like this were designed to impress visitors to exhibitions in the nineteenth century and they still excite and entrance today.
Join this virtual visit to view models close-up and learn more about how they were planned, created and used.
