Govan Music Festival 2023
15 – 19 March, 2023
The second Govan Music Festival presents a varied programme: from grass roots to high arts, folk, fusion, classical and hip hop.
Jennifer Andrew’s climate change songs unite all local schools to save the planet, diverse singers and dancers find the joy of free movement and celebrate giant murals. Anna Clyne’s cello concerto “Dance” dramatically pairs with Barber’s famous Adagio. The Scottish Recovery Consortium’s “Freed Up” bringing you a great evening out minus drugs and alcohol. Ando Glasgo and Musicians in Exile bring a turbo world music evening to Central Govan whilst Steg G and pals perform his new hip hop album, DEMONS, delve into post pandemic madness. Keep an eye out for string quartet and The Four Barons, mashing-up with Scotland’s top rappers!
