Science Sunday – Glasgow Science Festival 2022
Stem Activity Day – Sunday 5 June, 2022
Govan Stones, 866 Govan Rd, Glasgow G51 3UU
Govan Stones – one of the most important historic sites in Glasgow
A new beginning and a new life beckon for the former Govan Old church, as its changed owners embark on ambitious plans to place the A-listed building at the very heart of local regeneration. On a par with national sites such as Iona and St Andrews as one of the earliest places of Christian worship in Scotland, Govan’s pre-eminence and historic significance have largely been ignored and its potential untapped. The community, as the new owners, plan to change all that through the creation of a visitor centre telling Govan’s unsung story.

Glasgow Science Festival now marches its merry way at Govan Stones. Only 2 min walk from Govan underground and TOTALLY FREE!
