In the Radiant City, GFT, 19 – 20 February, 2017
19 and 20 February, 2017
Rachel Lambert proves herself a talent to watch with this brooding, atmospheric first feature, produced by Jeff Nichols. Andrew (Michael Abbott Jr) drifts back to his hometown in Kentucky but is wary of any contact with his family. Everything seems too painful, any confrontation fraught with misunderstanding. His sister Laura (Marin Ireland) resents his return and blames him for all the suffering his family has endured. Discovering what lies at the heart of this broken family is the basis of a haunting, small-town drama in which the truth might be the one thing to set them all free.
