ARC Conversations – Why I’ll never be photographed in a lab coat

Hear Nicol Keith, Professor of Molecular Oncology, discuss pivotal career moments and the role of human experience as a driver of innovation

Over time, Nicol Keith has seen a shift in perspective that places the human experience as a driver for research, innovation and impact. This progressive approach continues the evolution of translational research towards what we now refer to as impactful research. In brief, to work in a more purposeful way.

In this talk, he will take a wander through pivotal career moments, from the viewpoint of people, and organisations that he has encountered in his quest to remain relevant.

Nicol is Professor of Molecular Oncology in the School of Cancer Sciences, University of Glasgow, where he is also Head of Research Impact. Nicol’s research activities focus on translational cancer research including biomarker development, clinical trials and cancer cell immortality. His research has successfully delivered preclinical findings into clinical studies.
