Hear from two of Scotland’s most popular and exciting writers about their latest and upcoming work. Glasgow-based Chris McQueer is a writer, performer, and social media sensation best known for his darkly funny Scots-language short story collections Hings and HWFG. He returns for his first appearance at Paisley Book Festival since its inaugural edition with his debut novel, Hermit, which follows the story of a young man who hasn’t left the house in months. Will an impromptu trip to London be the making or the breaking of him?

Michael Pedersen
Michael Pedersen is a much-loved poet and writer from Portobello, who is currently Writer in Residence at the University of Edinburgh and was recently appointed as the city’s Makar. His recent books include The Cat Prince & Other Poems and Boy Friends, a poignant mediation on the power of male friendship. Michael joins us to chat about these books and to look forward to the release of a new novel, Muckle Flugga, later this year.
Chaired by Renfrewshire-based author of Fishnet and Scabby Queen, Kirstin Innes.
