Leventime: A Tribute to Jackie Leven, Celtic Connections 2023
Saturday 4 January, 2023, 7.30 p.m.
Celtic Connections 2023 19 January – 5 February
OranMor, Top of Byres Road, G12 8QX
10 years after his death, Jackie Leven’s partner Deborah Greenwood and friend and colleague Ian Rankin lead friends and admirers including Boo Hewerdine, Jinder, Michael Weston King, Malcolm Lindsay, Doghouse Roses and Dumb Instrument through a selection from his extensive song catalogue.
Described as ‘the cult artist’s cult artist’ and ‘Scotland’s answer to Bob Dylan’, Jackie’s work is now starting to gain wider recognition with the release of 3 albums of his work in the last year alone
Expect laughter, a few tears, some tall tales and great, great music.
