The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra – Glasgow Royal Concert Hall
7th SEPTEMBER 2019 7.30 p.m.
Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, 2 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow G2 3NY
Scotland’s “National” Fiddle Orchestra promises an unforgettable night of Scottish music and entertainment which will delight Scottish music enthusiasts and visitors to Scotland alike!
The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra’s annual concert at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall is a memorable evening filled with irresistible, toe-tappingly good jigs and reels, haunting slow airs, stirring pipe music, and beautiful songs.
Under the baton of Conductor Blair Parham, the orchestra is delighted to welcome the fabulous folk music trio Assynt, (Scots Trad Music Awards’ ‘Up and Coming Artist of the Year 2018’) as our special guests, along with SFO audience favourite, mezzo-soprano Colette Ruddy.
Add to this the fine piping of the SFO’s own piper Catriona Norman and the Kilmarnock Schools Pipe Band and you are certain to enjoy a great evening’s entertainment suitable for the whole family.
