Alternative Burns Night Federation of Writers (Scotland) 22nd January
Alternative Burns Night – Tickets £16:50
Event for Federation of Writers (Scotland) · By Marc R. Sherland
Wednesday, January 22, 2014, 7:00pm
Nothing one would expect at a Burns night, held in a pub, the order out of order, a buffet not a sit down meal and entertainment from the rich talent drawn together by the Federation of Writers. If you are expecting a traditional Burns Night, this isn’t it.
The event grew out of the idea that Rabbie would probably not recognise the traditional Burns Night that has grown up in his name , but would prefer a home grown event with poetry and song in a fun setting. So that is what we aim to provide, with some Burns poetry, some from our own members and even an open mic opportunity for the brave and the sauncy amang us.
Tickets are £16:50 because not only are we are providing a full menu but also we are continuing to raise funds towards the Federation Education Fund.
Committee Room No9
18 John Street, G1 1HP
