An energetic ode to the people of Lisbon through its music scene and its musicians. Lisbon Beat is an exuberant documentary portrait of a city and the innovative music thriving on the outskirts of Lisbon. Directed by Vasco Viana and Rita Maia, Lisbon Beat depicts a community of musicians and producers and their relationship with the city. A journey to a vibrant city and its culture without moving from Edinburgh.
In collaboration with Document Human Rights Film Festival
This documentary will also be preceded by a reception at Traverse Theatre with live Fado by Mariana Moreira Music, free for ticket holders.
IberoDocs Masterclass with Rita Maia will be open for all at the Scottish Documentary Institute on Thursday 27th of February at 14:00.
