Òran Mór Panto: The Uglies
Written by Dave Anderson and David MacLennan
2nd – 21st December (excluding Sundays) Doors 12 p.m.
Cinderella – aye, very good: Cinderella.
She’s pretty. She has a hard time – for about half an hour. But she has a Fairy Godmother. Everybody loves her. She has Magic on her side. She marries the prince. She lives happily ever after. Blah, blah, blah.
But with whom do we really identify?
Sorry, did you say “Buttons”? That wimp?
No, let’s be honest – we most resemble the Ugly Sisters, don’t we? We are destined never to be Happy. (Though maybe that’s another story)
The Òran Mór present the classic Cinderella story, told from the viewpoint of the much maligned “ugly” (how cruel is that?) sisters. Maybe this time, things won’t turn out so badly for The Uglies.
Maybe…
We will always have some tickets on the door on the day for early birds. These sell very quickly so come along early.
Òran Mór’s annual Christmas Panto by Dave Anderson and David MacLennan for grown up children has become a not to miss Festive Season comedy treat. Boo, cheer and sing-along, Oh,yes you will. Only suitable for real children with very liberal parents.
Unreserved Seating £12 – £14
Ticket price includes a drink (beer, wine or soft drink) plus a meat or vegetarian pie.
Book online or phone 08444 771 000 (booking fee will apply) or from the Òran Mór box office on the day of the performance. The box office is located just inside the main front entrance on Byres Road and opens at 12noon.

Written By Johnny McKnight
The Tron
Friday 29th November 2013 to Saturday 4th January 2014
Selected dates Audio Described: Wed 11th Dec

All children grow up – except one. Peter.
You see he’s not like the others. He can fly. He has a sworn enemy in the evil Captain New Look, who has one hand and one cheesy-pineapple-on a stick for the other. Peter also has a best friend, Stinkerbell. She’s a fairy but she’s no fool. She’s got magic flatulence and powerful rifts that she’s willing to turn on full force to any girl that comes between her and her love Peter.
Enter Wendy. Wet West End Wendy. She’s falling for Peter, but Stinkerbell would rather she fell off a cliff.
Will Stinkerbell get her man? Will Captain New Look swap his hook for a Dyson attachment? And how will we manage to fly anyone when there’s no flying rig? Find out in this year’s Tron panto!

A magical Christmas tale for ages 3-7 yrs, written & directed by Robert Alan Evans.
‘Side-splittingly daft antics… with happy endings all round!’ ★★★★ Herald
It’s Christmas Eve and everyone is excited – wrapping presents, going to parties, singing songs – everyone, that is, except Carol. She hates Christmas and wishes everyone would stop going on about it! But that night, as she settles down to sleep she hears some crying and finds an elf under her bed. Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum … to our panto, you must come!
Welcome to Inverweedge … where the Inverweedgies are under threat from the Giant and his loathsome henchman, Fleshcreep.
The Giant’s monstrous appetite has gobbled up all the animals in the town… except one – Moomoo – the family coo-coo of Daisy McDough-heid and her two boys; Jack and Archie.
Jack loves Princess Lulu. Lulu loves Jack. But he’s just a commoner and surely they can never be wed.
When Princess Lulu has been kidnapped by the Giant, and Fleshcreep has tricked Archie into selling Moomoo for a bag of beans, is all hope lost? Or will Fairy Firefly be able to use the beans to get Jack and his friends up to the Giant’s castle in Cloudland to defeat the Giant before lunchtime?
Find out this Christmastime at the Royal Conservatoire, as we take you on a magical journey of adventure, laughter, thrills and spills in the best value panto in town.
