The Balloch Open Mic provides a showcase for local writers, and those from further afield. It was set up by Alexandria Writers to provide an opportunity for local writers to showcase their work. The Open Mic takes place on the first Monday of the month at Balloch House Hotel (Balloch Rd, Balloch, G83 8LQ). A special guest is invited to perform as headline act and five minute slots are offered to  other writers on a first come first served basis.  Events are free.

On this blog you will be able to find out about Balloch Open Mics and other related events. New work will be publicised with examples of poetry and prose, new publications and reviews. Membership is free.  Email for further information.
