Valentine’s Day Glasgow 2016: The Glasgow Curry Shop, Ashton Lane

Glasgow’s Love Affair With Curry

Romance may be in the air, but you don’t really need someone special in your life to enjoy yourself at this time of year. You can still indulge your love of  Indian cuisine with your friends at The Glasgow Curry Shop in Ashton Lane. This little gem is part of the Mother India Group of restaurants and although small in stature, it’s big in atmosphere and a foodie’s paradise!

You’ll also LOVE the fact that The Glasgow Curry Shop operates a BYOB policy – the bring your own bottle policy applies only to wine and champagne. One bottle per two customers, corkage charges apply.

You will find fabulous food from the regular menu with no inflated ‘Valentine’s Day’ prices and your favourite tipple at no exorbitant expense.

Pre Theatre Menu is available until 6 pm.

To reserve a table please contact us on 0141 357 5280..

You will love the ambience and decor with walls awash with pictures and artefacts documenting the Glaswegian passion for curry down the decades. A veritable ‘ who’s who’ of the faces and places that were instrumental in creating the Glasgow curry phenomenon.

Mother India in Westminster Terrace will of course be in full swing during Valentine’s Weekend, so best to book early. The only thing that’s special about the menu is the food! Again, you and your partner can tuck into a feast of your favourite dishes from the standard à la carte menu.

What about Ginger Crab and Prawn Dosa for starters, perhaps followed with Smeena’s Slow Chicken Curry, Green Chilli, Tomatoes and Onions cooked for hours with a touch of olive oil and simmered with whole spices?    Table for two perhaps?
