FFF. De Gaulle: Resistance
Sunday 22 November, 2026, 2.30 p.m.
GFT 12 Rose Street, G3 6RB
An epic historical drama tracking Charles de Gaulle’s defiance of the 1940 Nazi invasion, his exile to London, and his turbulent alliance with Winston Churchill to forge the Free French resistance.
During the military collapse of France in June 1940, General Charles de Gaulle flees to London with little more than his conviction, where he must navigate a fragile and turbulent political alliance with British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. Facing isolation, internal betrayals, and massive geopolitical odds, De Gaulle risks everything to deliver his defiant broadcasts and rally a desperate, scattered resistance from the battlefields of Europe to the deserts of North Africa.
Screening as part of French Film Festival 2026
