Halloween at The Children’s Wood

halloweenNorth Kelvin Meadow

Thursday 31st October 3.45  p.m. – 7 p.m.

There will be Fairy Lights, Pumpkin Soup, Tam Dean Burn reading Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson and story telling with Allison Galbraith.  Lantern Parade and Hallowe’en songs. Here’s one: www.youtube.com – Ding Dong The Witch is Dead

Anyone who has not made a lantern but would like to, then bring an empty 4 litre milk bottle or 1.5 litre water/juice bottle with you on Halloween night (before 4:30pm) and make your own.

Lantern sticks can be purchased on halloween night for £1:50 (this includes the battery)

The Halloween event is FREE, however we have halloween dinner bags made by North Star Cafe and we are asking for a £3 or £4 donation for your dinner to help cover the costs of the event.

Do bring a carved pumpkin to add to the decorations on the meadow/wood.

Charlie Cameron will also be making pumpkin soup for the Children’s Wood. Donations are always welcome, we are working very much hand to mouth and the events do costs a fair bit in terms of hiring marquees etc.
