This practical course may be taken  by those attending The novel: getting started, but is also open to new students. What challenges face novelists in writing the first fifty pages of a new work? Discussion of literary forms, techniques and how writers begin to structure a narrative work forms the basis of this course. Practical advice and helpful tips will be given to support those writing the early stages of a novel.
