24 November, 2019 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Jane Haining – a life of love and courage
Titwood Bowling Club, 77 Glencairn Drive, Pollokshields, Glasgow G41 4PS
Local author Mary Miller will talk about Jane Haining, subject of her recent book, who lived in Pollokshields. Jane worshipped at Queens Park Govanhill Church of Scotland, and her faith led her to care for Jewish children in wartime Hungary that led her to later being killed in Auschwitz. Jane’s courage and service have become recognised across the world, and Mary’s new book throws fascinating new lights on her inspiring life.
£5 to include light refreshments (and books will be on sale)
