Woodlands Community Climate Action Project
Woodlands Community Climate Action will have 4 main strands of activity:
Improving climate literacy
Increasing participation in cycling
Promoting local and seasonal vegetarian/vegan food
Reducing, re-using and recycling
Two Vacancies
Both positions are funded through the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund until March 2022.
Climate Action Community Worker
Looking for a person with a background in community development and experience of project management to lead on activities on waste, cycling and climate literacy. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in engaging the public on environmental issues, be able to manage a varied workload and have excellent marketing and administration skills. They will be able to communicate well with people from a range of different backgrounds, work flexibly within a small team and support volunteers.
Pay £26,156 per annum
Hours 35 per week
Contract Fixed term contract until 31st March 2022

Community Food Worker
Looking for a person with a background in both cookery and community development to lead on food activities. The successful candidate will be accomplished in cooking vegetarian/vegan food and have detailed knowledge of issues relating to food and climate change. They will be able to communicate well with people from a range of backgrounds and be experienced in running cookery workshops and community learning events.
Pay £26,156 per annum (pro-rata)
Hours 10 per week
Contract Fixed term contract until 31st March 2022
