Woodlands Community Gardens Banquet of Delights

Sunday 29th September

from 2-6pm

at WOODLANDS COMMUNITY GARDEN and our GAP SITE AT 127 WEST PRINCE STREET

The Banquet is the climax of our Harvest 2013 celebrations and will be preceded at 1pm by a short and informal AGM for the Woodlands Community Development to which you are also invited to attend.

At the Banquet we shall be serving you:

  • delicious fresh and seasonal food cooked by both Woodlands Community Garden’s cooks and Babu’s Kitchen
  • simply sumptuous music from the Astrid String Quartet, (members of the prestigious Live Music Now! scheme, a charity founded by Yehudi Menuhin, which delivers high quality live performances to audiences who might otherwise never have the opportunity to go to a concert)
  • seasonal songs provided by our very own In Harmony with Nature singers
  • tasty environmental tales from our Common Ground storytellers
  • delightful children’s comedy and silly happenings from friend of the garden Viv Gee
  • organic family friendly conservation activities to help Give Nature a Home from our Bio-diverse project and RSPB Scotland<
  • freshly created art installations, that follow on from our art workshop happening in the garden on Saturday 28th

The Banquet is provided free of charge, but donations are welcomed on the day to help support our work.

Willing volunteers are sought to assist on the day from 11am onwards.

Offers of home baking (cakes and all things sweet and tasty) will be graciously accepted.

We look forward to the pleasure of your company.
