The film that launched Almodóvar onto a global platform and earned the director multiple awards including BAFTA and Oscar nominations for Best Foreign Language Film. Primarily set inside middle-aged voice actor Pepas’ penthouse apartment, the film details her attempts to find out why her lover Iván has recently left her, confronting his son and former wife in order to discover his whereabouts. Meanwhile her friend Candela is afraid that the police might be looking for her after she inadvertently shelters terrorists. A hilarious romp with perfect comic timing, that showcases Almodóvar at his most visually dazzling.
