Sexology Season, Glasgow 18 April – 31 July 2015
Various venues across Glasgow
18 April – 31 July 2015
Explore sexology, the interdisciplinary study of human sexuality, through this eclectic season of 37 events. Our partners are Glasgow Women’s Library, The Arches (Behaviour Festival), conFAB, Fun Palaces and Aye Write Festival . The programme offers something for anyone prepared to undress their mind and includes performances, exhibitions, films, workshops, talks, literature events and – unique to the Glasgow season – three walks around the city which approach the sexology theme in intriguingly different ways, from fetish sex and cottaging to prostitution, drunken sex and romance. Gender, sexuality and feminism are strong themes in Glasgow and a vibrant sense of the city’s heritage and character informs the choice of subjects, performers and speakers.
Lois Weaver, The Arches, 16 and 17 May
