Butterfly walk around local nature reserve Gascadden woods with Paul from Buglife. Visit a broadleaved woodland and a wildflower meadow that is home to many butterflies including purple hairstreak butterfly and over 200 varieties of plants such as opposite-leaved golden saxifrage. Bring a packed lunch if you would like to extend your stay in the woods. MEET AT COMMUNITY GARDEN AT 10.15 and travel to woods by bus.

The second of our linked family exploration days, jointly held with Bug Life. Join us for wildlflower planting at Kelvingrove park and learn about the bugs and beasts that thrive in the park. Meet at the community garden at 1.30pm or at the main entrance to Kelvingrove museum at 2.00pm
