Anne Donovan is the author of the short story collection, Hieroglyphics and other Stories (2001), and the novels, Buddha Da (2003), Being Emily (2008) and Gone Are The Leaves (2014), all published by Canongate.

Buddha Da was shortlisted for the Orange Prize, the Whitbread First Novel Award and the Scottish Arts Council Book of the year. It received a Scottish Arts Council Award, was nominated for the Dublin International IMPAC Award and won Le Prince Maurice Award in Mauritius in 2004.

Anne’s latest book, Gone Are The Leaves, was shortlisted for the Saltire Scottish Literary Book of the Year Award.
