Aye Write: Ferlie Leed – The Rhymer on his Hoalidays

The Scottish band FERLIE LEED celebrate the centenary of Edwin Morgan’s birth with an exuberant selection of his work as a translator.
Although Morgan is well known as a poet in his own right, he had a vigorous career as a translator of poets from across Europe.
Ferlie Leed have composed and developed songs and vocal readings of Edwin Morgan’s translations, featuring performances by Tam Dean Burn and other members of the group. This is an opportunity to hear some of Scotland’s leading performers in a dramatic, passionate and humorous blend of speech and musical performance.
