Wednesday, 28 August, 2019, 7.00 p.m.
Helensburgh Library 51 West King Street Helensburgh G84 8EB
‘Gracey Flair ‘Funnysophical Poet’ – she’s daft but deep. She’ll either make yi’ laugh or greet!
Gracey Flair, born in the ‘Good Old Port’ (Port Glasgow) and then grew up and followed her nose. Always a truth seeker and this made her life take many twists and turns. Around the age of 36, tried her hand at poetry after visiting Smallworld environmental festival (Headcorn, Kent). She loved the idea that she could write whatever she wanted without editing her words. Well, a cathartic healing journey began and she found out fascinating things along the way writing rhyme. Enjoys writing about life and places around the West of Scotland. Writer of ‘Oor Kilcreggan Ferry’ protest song as shown on STV news. Well, it must have worked – Kilcreggan did indeed get a new ferry! ‘
