Woodlands Community – Wildlife Friendly Front Gardens

Part of the Woodlands Nature Recovery Project
Offering a limited number of Woodlands residents the opportunity to receive advice from experienced staff on how to enhance their front garden.
As a response to the stress and isolation of Lockdown goals for this project are to:
- Help you create an accessible nature space to enjoy while in isolation and beyond
- Reduce stress by getting your hands in the soil and connecting to the natural world
- Give you the confidence to maintain your front garden longer term
- Create more wildlife friendly spaces throughout the Woodlands neighbourhood
Through this pilot project, selected participants will receive 3-4 in-person (socially distanced) sessions with garden staff. Woodlands Community Garden staff members will be able to help you with planning, sourcing materials and plants, planting and will provide tips regarding long term maintenance. There is also a small budget available for each garden which will vary depending on the condition of the garden and your current financial position.
