When her son succumbs to a disease that leaves him mentally and physically disabled, his distraught mother must learn how to care for him whilst holding together the rest of her crumbling family life. With echoes of Inarritu, Haneke and even Milos Forman in its scenes of psychiatric hospital life, this is a stark but honest tale about the importance of communication and what it means to be a family.
Followed by a Q&A with director Fernando Perez.
