Something sinister is stirring in The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hydea gothic tale of double lives and inner demons.
Directed by award-winning film maker Hope Dickson Leach, and brought to gruesome life by an outstanding ensemble of Scottish screen and stage talent.
Filmed largely within the atmospheric setting of Edinburgh’s historic Leith Theatre, The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde was originally presented in February 2022 as a live, cinematic experience in the venue. Following its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in August 2023, this film is being shown from 7 – 29 October at selected cinemas in UK/ Scotland and will subsequently be broadcast on Sky Arts (Freeview Channel 11) on 30 October.
