Dan Ferguson and John Cunningham were born in Lanarkshire and educated at
Airdrie Academy where their life long friendship was formed.
Both studied drawing and painting at Glasgow School of Art and went on to become
senior lecturers there, influencing the careers of many students.
They exhibited in the same major shows in Scotland; the RGI, RSA and RSW and both were active members of The Glasgow Art Club.
