The Project Cafe
Scottish Writers Centre presents: Maggie Graham and Ellen McAteer
Name a Beat writer. Allen Ginsburgh?, Gregory Corso? Jack Kerouak? Gary Snyder? Peter Orloffsky? How about Diane Di Prima, Anne Waldman, Joanne Kyger, Hettie Jones, Janine Pomy Vega or Ruth Wiess? Maggie Graham and Ellen McAteer will read about and from the women who broke all the ‘rules of cool’ in life and art to become not just “girls who said nothing and wore black” but original, authentic Beat poets. Ellen and Maggie will also read from their own works. Come and see this Scottish Writers’ Centre-sponsored event at Tell it slant poetry bookshop in The Project Cafe.
The Project Cafe, 134 Renfrew Street, Glasgow G3 6ST
