Lewis Grassic Gibbon’s classic novel comes to the screen in this long-awaited adaptation from peerless British director Terence Davies. In the fictional Aberdeenshire town of Kinraddie, Chris Guthrie works on her father’s farm, struggling to reconcile her desire for learning and education with her love of the land. Meanwhile the gathering storm of WWI approaches, and no-one is prepared for its devastating impact.

The preview on Thu 12 Nov will be followed by a Q&A with director Terence Davies and lead cast members Agyness Deyn and Kevin Guthrie.
