Story Café Special at Glasgow Women’s Library with Jennifer Klinec
June 25, 2015 – 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
Jennifer Klinec is author of The Temporary Bride, she will be at the women’s library for a very special Story Café.
‘Her evocative memoir, full of the sights, sounds and tastes of Iran, is a story of food and love, taking us behind the closed doors of Iran and giving us a rare glimpse into the lives of ordinary Iranians. Jennifer will be reading from her book, talking about the women writers who have inspired her work, and brewing us some traditional chai tea.’
‘Our warm and welcoming Story Café is the perfect way to relax over lunchtime. Bring along a bite to eat, grab a cuppa, and enjoy listening to wonderful short stories, novel extracts and poems by women writers from around the world.
Whether you’re an avid reader, or want to get into reading for the first time, this group is a great way to discover the wealth of writing on our shelves, meet new people and simply take some time out to recharge your batteries.’
