IncludeED play by Mark MacNicol plus Q and A – Glasgow Evening

A new play Written by Mark MacNicol Directed by Libby McArthur starring Rachel Ogilvy and Caroline Guthrie.
A new stage play exploring themes including the exclusion of pupils with learning disabilities in mainstream schools. The story of two mothers fighting for their children, who have learning disabilities, to have the same opportunities at school as other young people. It follows these two very different women’s experiences as their lives become intertwined through their tireless campaigning.
The play is produced by the Creative Change Collective supported by ENABLE Scotland, touring Inverclyde, Argyll & Bute and finish with two shows in Glasgow on the 22nd Oct (3pm & 7pm).
The play takes it’s name from the ‘IncludED in the Main’ campaign launched by ENABLE, which lists 22 key recommendations for schools, the Scottish Government, councils and Education Scotland to increase inclusion for pupils with learning disabilities.
