Holloway at GFT
Tuesday 22 July, 2025, 8.10 p.m.
Six women return to the now-abandoned Holloway Prison — once the largest women’s prison in Europe — to take part in a women’s circle. Sharing the most intimate experiences of their lives, they unravel what led them to prison, revealing a powerful portrait of systemic failure and trauma, and their extraordinary capacity to heal through sisterhood.
Directed by BAFTA Breakthrough Brit Daisy-May Hudson (Lollipop) and Emmy-nominated Sophie Compton, Holloway is a deeply moving, co-created documentary made with six inspiring women now leading change through their work and activism: Aliyah Ali, Mandy Ogunmokun, Sarah Cassidy, Lady Unchained, Gerrah, and Tamar Mujanay.
