Advocating for a Basic Income – West End Festival
Hillhead Library, 348 Byres Road, G12 8AP
In September, Liverpool City Council passed a motion requesting that, should the Government seek to hold a Income pilot scheme, Liverpool would be the city to host it.
At a time when Glasgow City Council are helping to investigate the feasibility of a Basic Income pilot in Scotland, one of the architects of that motion, Cllr Patrick Hurley joins Citizens’ Basic Income Network Scotland to talk about his experiences advocating for Basic Income.
At the first such event held in Glasgow., Cllr Hurley talks about why he supports Basic Income and surveys the work he’s been doing to get it on the agenda.
