A War
GFT
9 – 14 January, 2016
A Danish soldier makes a split-second decision which will change his life forever.
Friday 8 – Thursday 14 January
Running time: 1h55m
The latest film from writer/director Tobias Lindholm (A Hijacking) is a remarkable study of a Danish soldier who makes a split-second decision whilst on tour in Afghanistan that has grave repercussions for his life at home. With a raw, documentary feel aided by Afghani war veterans playing the soldiers, Lindholm manages to capture a real sense of both being in the middle of conflict, and the effects it has on a family at home.
