Books Groups from across the city are invited for an afternoon of reading celebration with author Louise Welsh

Monday 9th October, 2017 from 10.30am onwards – Free.
A day for your little ones with a whole host of fun events including Bounce & Rhyme sessions, a visit from children’s author Allison Murray plus a cake to top it all off!

140th Anniversary of The Mitchell
Wednesday 11th October, 2017 1pm – Free.
A pop-up display to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the founding of the Mitchell Library with the first books purchased, the oldest book in the library, old library catalogues, and plans and photographs of The Mitchell since it opened its doors on 1st November 1877.

Macmillan @ Glasgow Libraries
Thursday 12th October, 2017 12.30-2pm – Free.
A short talk on how Macmillan @ Glasgow Libraries can help you find valuable health information sources in your own local Library, plus a drop-in session for anyone affected by cancer to access support and information.
