Wee Write! Glasgow’s Book Festival for Children and Young People 2014
Part of Aye Write Festival 4-12 April 2014
Wee Write takes place 5 – 11 March, 2014
In 2014, for the first time ever, Glasgow will play host to Wee Write!, a new book festival for children and young people. The festival takes place from 5-11 March 2014, and is expected to see audiences of around 12,000 attending over 100 events. It is the first children’s book festival in Scotland.
Celebrate 50 Whipple-Scrumptious years of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, join a session with the man who created Harry and the Dinosaurs, hop on the Play Talk Read Bus and much, much more. Come along to the Wee Write! Family Day on Saturday 8 March and celebrate the wonderful world of children’s literature!
About Wee Write!
Wee Write! is the only dedicated book festival for children and families in Scotland. In 2014, its first year, the festival will include a fantastic range of events for our children, young people and families to enjoy, from a huge schools festival to a fantastic family day. Wee Write! is part of the parent festival Aye Write! – now in it’s 9th year! – but is a stand-alone programme dedicated entirely to children’s writing.
