Knitting microbes' is a collaborative art project from the University of Glasgow and the YarnCake. Knitters across Scotland are invited to create woolly microbes to make a fabulous artwork, displayed during the festival, at Scotland?s only dedicated knitting cafe. Visit Glasgow Science Festival website for suggested knitting patterns, including Cold, TB and Cholera then bring them along to The Yarn Cake to add to the infectious display.

Journey through Kelvingrove Museum with Glasgow Science Festival and friends. Armed with your map, explore the exhibits to find our hands-on activities. Loads of hands-on fun with a wildlife and environment theme.

Welcome to the 6th annual Science Sunday extravaganza at the University of Glasgow. Our staff and students have devised a whirl of activities to shortcut you into the vast range of world-class research that goes on here on campus. You'll find science shows, workshops, equipment and almost endless opportunities to get hands-on. There's a special opening of the Hunterian Zoology Museum - brace yourselves to face everything from Glaswegian fish to alien species - and don't miss out on the exotic animal handling show. All brought to you from the Glasgow Science Festival team and our specially invited guests.
