Acclaimed Dublin-based artist Gerard Byrne introduces Stanley Kubrick’s classic Barry Lyndon. Recounting the rise and fall of a roguish Irishman as he makes his way into aristocratic society, Kubrick’s film is now acknowledged as one of his greatest achievements. With superb cinematography, this magnificent, painterly costume drama cries out to be seen on the big screen. Byrne’s work features in the exhibition ‘A Synchronology’ at Hunterian Art Gallery, a collaboration with The Common Guild, which continues until 28th January 2018.
