Our headline act will be the dynamic young band, Malinky who have been celebrating their own first ten years of existence during the last year. They were nominated for the Folk Band of the Year in the Scottish Trad Music Awards 2008.

Their most recent (4th ) CD, ?Flower and Iron? has been widely acclaimed: ?Scots Music at its most evocative? ( MOJO) and ?just glorious? (Living Tradition magazine). Some members of the band also have recorded their own ground-breaking solo CDs.

Support will be provided in harmonious fashion by the three lovely ladies of Tryst: Susan Thores, Heather Wilkinson and Liz Reid, who have appeared at many Linlithgow Folk Festivals, Matt McGinn nights, and other local events.

They came together through the Come All Ye Sessions at Howden Park Centre, Livingston: by strange coincidence, this was also just over ten years ago!
