Webster’s Theatre, Kelvinbridge to create a bistro catering facility

The Stage is Set
An investment package of £60K from Resilient Scotland will enable FACT THREE, the group behind Webster’s Theatre, to create a bistro catering facility. This new bistro will help transform Lansdowne Parish Church into a vibrant social hub for the West End of Glasgow.
Building on the success of Cottiers, FACT THREE is in the process of giving Lansdowne Parish church a new lease of life as a theatre and community venue. The bistro will help fund the development of the church and will create 10 full time and 20 part time positions.
David Robertson a trustee of FACT THREE the organisation responsible for converting Lansdowne Church into Websters Theatre said; ” The support from Resilient Scotland could not have come through at a better time for our project and is exactly what we need to get our new building open for business. We found the process involved in applying for and receiving the funds to be very straightforward and look forward to working with the team to deliver the outcomes for the local community that we are committed to providing.”
Chris Holloway, Head of Resilient Scotland said “The Trustees of FACT THREE have the expertise in reconditioning similar buildings, as seen in the success of Cottiers. I am confident that their success will be replicated in Lansdowne Church, with the investment from Start & Grow providing them with capital funds to grow and create employment in the area.”
The church is in a prime location, in close proximity to the Kelvingrove museum. It is anticipated that the regeneration of the church will attract not only the immediate community to the venue but people from across the city and beyond, turning this run down church into a vibrant social hub supporting the local economy.”
